We had twelve shooters at the Mini-Palma Match in September. For those not familiar with a Mini-Palma Match, it is the 800, 900 and 1,000 yard Palma course shot on reduced targets at 300, 500 and 600 yards. Fifteen record shots fired from the prone position at each yard line. Total possible score is 450. The weather was pleasant in the morning with overcast skies and no wind. It did get a little warm by noon when we were shooting at the 600-yard line. Classes for the Mini-Palma consist of Service Rifle, Palma Rifle, NRA Match rifle and “F” Class. Of the twelve shooters, five shot in “F” Class, 5 shot NRA Match Rifle and two juniors shooting service rifles.
