Notes to keep in mind…..several other shooters not listed had very competitive scores within 1 or 2 points of those listed. I think this is indicative of the purpose of the match, practice and get better with the rifle of choice. We had for the second time our first female shooter at the match and if her effort today shows ability she will have bragging rights for the match before the year’s end. There is already a ground swell movement to create a Women’s division so we won’t have to compete against her! Without researching the records (I’m too lazy to do so) I think that Jim’s fine effort is the new match record by one point. His 146 is only 4 points from a perfect 150 for the class. A remarkable score in the conditions today.
A NOTE TO REMEMBER HERE: NEXT MONTH’S MATCH WILL BE HELD ON THE 4TH SATURDAY OF THE MONTH. FOR THE SEPTEMBER MATCH ONLY. The range is being utilized for the Women’s fun shoot and the Hunter sight-in on the days we would normally use.
And, last but certainly not least, the incredibly small Prairie
Dog Egg was hit with only one (yes-one) shot by Dave Johnson.
Had to use both hands for the pot! Every one else was close, but no
cigar.
