This is a very friendly competition that is done mainly for fun. The purpose of this match is to bring the older bolt action military rifles out of storage and onto the range, providing competition and companionship of other shooters having similar interests. The spirit is to provide such competition at a minimal cost, using unmodified military rifles to keep the costs as low as possible. The competition is very low-key.

Open to anyone wanting to shoot their military issue bolt-action rifle. First read the rules located on the Military Bolt Action Rifle website listed at the top of the page. If you have a rifle that is within the rules, bring it out and have a good time with us. The competition is limited to bolt action, centerfire, “as-issued” or “stack” rifles; such as would have been issued to the average soldier of a recognized military organization. Special versions of these rifles, such as “sniper” or 22 caliber rimfire training rifles are not acceptable as they are special purpose weapons and not issued to the average soldier.

Even if you don't have a rifle, and are just interested, come on out and see what we are about! We meet every month on the 1st Saturday at 9 am year 'round, except during inclement weather. Always check the website for the most current information. For first time shooters, sign up by contacting Paul Heckler prior to a match date.
