2025 Construction Update

Please be aware that beginning in mid-January 2025 the berm modernization efforts on the Cowboy and Action Shooting ranges will resume. These are the ranges located on Hiwassee Road north of the Shotgun facility consisting of 10 Cowboy bays on the south end, and 6 Action Shooting bays on the north end.

Last year we made great progress in reconstructing the rear impact berms on the southern portion of the cowboy bays, but we were not able to complete the work. Because of the scale of the project this is a multi-year effort and our goal for 2025 is to complete the remainder of the Cowboy bays this year. Then next year we intend to continue north hopefully completing the 6 northern Action Shooting bays in 2026.

Because the contractor will be raising the berms above their existing height it will be necessary to close the 5-Stand range as well as a number of Cowboy/Action bays on Monday thru Friday while construction is taking place, however all bays should be available on weekends. During the week there should be bays available for members to use (especially the south bays where the work has already been completed), but there will need to be rolling closures as the work continues to the north. Additionally, as the contractor progresses north with construction activities, we anticipate it will be necessary to also close some of the 6 north Action Shooting bays.

We expect the closures will continue thru March and into April.

Please be patient and as always be sure to check the club calendar before you come to the facility for scheduled events as well as construction closures. We have a lot going on at the club and we know it is frustrating to arrive and find out there are construction closures, or scheduled activities.
